Important Loan changes: Student Access Loan | Georgia Student Finance Commission (gafutures.org)
The Student Access Loan (SAL) Program is no longer available.
The program is no longer funded effective Fall term 2024 (FY 2025).
Individuals who received a Student Access Loan in the past are required to repay their loan in accordance with their signed Promissory Note.
There are two options for repayment of the SAL:
Cash repayment plus interest or,
SAL borrowers should set up auto debit (ACH) payments at the Pathways website to ensure your secure on time monthly payments are made to your Student Access Loan.
Service cancellation for USG or private postsecondary institution students who work in select public service sectors.
Borrowers’ delinquent on loan payments are reported to the credit bureau. Defaulted borrowers are referred to a collection agency. Contact the Loan Servicing Division at loans@gsfc.org or 800.505.4732 option #3 regarding your repayment options.
