Consumer Information & Policies
A financial aid award letter will be generated once students have been officially admitted to Georgia Tech and all final transcripts have been received and are articulated. Students will receive an email notice once their award letter is ready to be viewed in OSCAR.
Our office will begin notifying students of their Award Notices during the following times according to student classification:
First-year students: Mid-April
Returning students: Mid-June
Transfer students: Mid-June for fall entrants.
Graduate students: June-July.
Graduate students receiving a Graduate Assistantship and/or Fellowship should contact their academic department or outside fellowship sponsors to determine their award levels. As our office becomes aware of additional forms of aid, we will revise your award as necessary.
It is important for you to understand the information in your award letter. Check out our guide for how to read your financial aid award letter.
Understand Your Letter
Though you’ve received an award letter, your financial aid will not be disbursed until you accept or decline your award.
