All awards are offered based on the expectation of full-time enrollment (12 or more semester hours). If a student enrolls less than full time, his or her eligibility may change significantly. Audit hours are not counted when determining enrollment status eligibility, i.e. Cooperative Education employment. The change may be a total loss of eligibility for a certain fund(s), a reduction of a certain fund(s), or both.
Satisfactory Academic Progress
Georgia Tech applies standards of academic progress that must be met in order for a student to qualify and remain eligible for assistance. Visit consumer information and required policies for more information.
Aid for Future Terms/Reapplying for Financial Aid
Students must reapply for financial aid each year they intend to enroll at Georgia Tech. All financial aid awards are annually based upon the timely completion of the financial aid application process, continued demonstrated need, maintenance of Standards of Academic Progress, good standing at the Institute, and availability of resources. Most scholarships require a minimum grade-point average. Some scholarships are major specific or have other requirements.
