The G. Wayne Clough Georgia Tech Promise Program is available to dependent Georgia residents pursuing their first undergraduate degree who meet the eligibility requirements. The program is designed to fill a gap in the financial aid support system, picking up where Georgia's HOPE scholarship and other financial aid options leave off. The program is intended to assist Georgia students whose families have an annual income of less than $33,300.

Awards from the G. Wayne Clough Georgia Tech Promise Program will be combined with other scholarships, grants, and a Federal Work Study job opportunity to meet the student's financial need associated with the cost of full-time resident tuition, mandatory fees, an allowance for books, standard housing, personal expenses, and meal plan.

To apply for the G. Wayne Clough Tech Promise Program, students complete the standard financial aid application process. The first step is to submit the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), the PROFILE, and the Georgia Tech Application for Scholarships and Financial Aid (GT App) by February 15, preceding the start of the freshman year. Late applications are not accepted, and no separate application is required. Promise candidates may be asked to provide verification of family financial information including, but not limited to, what is listed on the FAFSA. Students qualified to participate in the Tech Promise Program will be selected from on-time applicants.

Students are selected for Promise in advance of their first semester attending Georgia Tech as an entering freshman.
