Reapplying for Financial Aid
Students must reapply for financial aid each year they intend to enroll at Georgia Tech. All financial aid awards are annually based upon the timely completion of the financial aid application process, continued demonstrated need, maintenance of Standards of Academic Progress, good standing at the Institute, and availability of resources. Most scholarships require a minimum grade point average. Some scholarships are major specific or have other requirements. The deadline for renewal applications is May 1.

Summer Term
Summer term requires a separate Georgia Tech Application for Financial Aid and Scholarships. Check www.finaid.gatech.edu for details on the application and deadline.

Important Dates

GT Application available online:
November 1, for the following academic year
FAFSA available online:
January 1, for the upcoming fall
FAFSA & GT Application receieved by Financial Aid office OR HOPE and GT Application for HOPE ONLY applicants:
March 1
Award Letters will be available via BuzzPort
Beginning April 1
Admissions deposit due:
May 1
Provide tax returns (if requested):
April 15
